seein as it's my buffday on the turd i'll be doing a ride over the welsh valleys from tintern abbey
staying the night before here....

the landlord are camper friendly and they have B&B available... also room for tents etc


tintern is here....

just north of chepstow

the valley's route is a right mix... fabulous mountain passes, lakes and dams
and you will see life as it is now in the valley towns and villages for the shaggers.

been down for a rekie of the site over the weekend....the abbey



the abbey .... old enery burned it...




the approach.. off the A466

the pub...also a cofee/butty bar




large fields at tha back of the pub, we have exclusive use for tents vans etc etc, local B&B's but a tad expensive..
Chepstow cheaper.

pub food is good and not expensive... belly filling meal for 8 squid.... 11 squid for a steak etc etc


it's booked... no cost involved... turn up and do your own thing.. you decide what you spend or don't spend


again.. i have accomodation in the van for 2 bodies...preferably for peeps wanting to come from great distances
..but first cum first reserved
or simply just turn up on the sunday for the ride out leaving at 9.30am

some prelim enquiries into the local B&Bs in the village suggest that they do not want to rent you a room for just the one night,
they are holding out for the full weekend bookings I think, as they all say no rooms available

still got it pencilled in tho as it does look a nice ride AJ

suggest... get a £20.00 TENT and floookem...use the pub toilets to wash and clean up

we should be able to sort something out nearby if we cant actually stay in Tintern... she dont do camping ya see

Dont know what we will be doing about our Euro trips just yet so I want to get as many weekender's in as poss..

I have a wedding on the saturday in Derbyshire and will have to travel home at night so it would be an all day ride for me on the sunday, how long is your route? its about 100m for me to tintern Abbey
