May 29th, 30th Budgie Run 2nd Attempt

Anyone fancy a couple of nights "away" for some good craic and excellent riding, then please put ya name down.

Staying in Clun, a small village in Shropshire on/near the Welsh Border. At the time of writing there is plenty of accommodation available ( which is why these dates have been chosen)


Arrive Friday afternoon/evening of the 29th May. Rideout into Wales on Saturday 30th ( the rain dictating how fekkin long for of course), Saturday night in the pub followed by a ride back home the Long Way round on Sunday 31st May.

I have a route planned for the Saturday which will be new to everyone except me ( wanna bet aj?)

Anyone that hasn't been before, pull ya finger out and come along. You wont regret it and will be made more than .

After much consideration, we would like to join you. We're off to Scotland a few days later, hence hesitation, but don't want to miss out on meeting up with you all.

Are we still booking ourselves or are you going for a group booking while rooms available?

Crackin' Ro-Ro. Book yasselves in this year if ya don't mind. As Ramo says, at the moment there's plenty of room available both in The Sun AND The White Horse. I'm not booking owt at the moment for myself; to give other folk chance to get in somewhere. I can always , if well subscribed, either doss at the YHA around the corner, or camp across the river in Barry The Farmer's field. So..book away. Be great to see you both and by hook or by crook I can assure you both that we will NOT lose you at the first turn off.

(Second, third turn offs etc, I can't vouch for )


Dablik. be great if you could turn up whether for the full weekend or just part.

Nothing cast in stone regarding the Saturday route, but at least 2 of us were hankering after a back up route I plotted last year which entails a ride south, touching on the Heads of the Valleys, west in a roundabout way to llandovery and then north east over the hills towards Rhayader and back to the pub. Sunday, at least for me and a couple of others I'm sure, will be a ride north west into wales and Snowdonia and then wending eastwards and out into Engerland and "home". Of course, the weather may fook things up a tad, like last year. So, just keep an eye on this thread. You'll be more than to join at any time OK.
